Winner of Chicago Cabaret Professionals Windy City Award, Ron Hawking delivers a special 104th birthday tribute to Frank Sinatra. Hear selections from Hawking’s hit musical productions of “His Way,” and his Grammy-Nominated album, “The Song Is You”. Whether he’s putting his own touch on The Great American songbook, Broadway, or contemporary music, Ron’s charm and charisma shines through every musical moment.

Chicago’s Award-Winning Entertainer, Ron Hawking, delivers a performance that truly comes from his heart. Singing and entertaining is what he was born to do!

Ron Hawking sang before he could talk. He’s appeared on television shows before entering grammar school and won talent competitions before he could tell time. Ron learned to play the piano in grammar school and guitar in high school, performing in bands through high school and college.

After recording two albums with a touring group, The New Era, Ron returned to Chicago and began directing his talent toward the recording studio, singing on countless broadcast commercials for TV and Radio, becoming a “top-call” studio singer.

Ron sharpened his performance skills by studying improvisation at Chicago’s Second City and New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse. After returning to Chicago, Ron was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and underwent treatment, and today is a survivor, which gives him great pride.

After the loss of Dean Martin and Gene Kelly, Hawking began to think about creating a show dedicated to the remarkable legacy of another legend—Frank Sinatra. His hit musical “His Way—A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra” was born! Hawking made over 1000 “His Way” appearances, one of Chicago’s longest-running and most beloved musical tributes.

His second musical production, “The Men & Their Music,” honored legendary singers, songwriters and performers. And his Christmas show, “Ron Hawking Home for the Holidays,” has played to sold-out audiences at Barrington’s White House and other venues.

Ron Hawking’s other accolades include a performance at Carnegie Hall, and a role in the Universal Pictures movie “The Express” and the movie, “Look Who’s Talking.” At the 2014 Chicago Music Awards, Ron Hawking was presented with CMA’s 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award. His latest album release, “The Song is You,” was nominated for a Grammy.
